How many are
in the band?
Tumbling Dice is a 6-Piece band featuring
saxophone, keyboards, two guitars, bass and drums. All six band
members sing, so there is good variety during the night in terms
of songs and singers. Plus there is great vocal harmony in every
song!
What is the
band's dress code?
The typical dress code for the band for a
wedding or event is black suit and white shirt. This attire will
look very elegant at any event, including black tie.
The ages of
our guests will vary considerably. Can your band play all types of
music?
Tumbling Dice perform a wide variety of
music ranging from waltzes, jazz and country to pop and rock. Our song
list is extensive and includes music from every era.
How long do you play for?
Typically, this depends on the event. For
example, a wedding is normally a 2 hour set plus a 15/20 minute
break during which your guests will be served with tea/coffee and
light finger food. Alternatively, at a corporate event or
celebration, the band usually plays continuously for 2 hours
without a break. If your requirements differ, please just ask. We
are completely flexible with start times, etc. After all, it's
your event and you are paying the bill!
Will the
band perform at a volume that is comfortable for me and for my
guests?
Tumbling Dice have some of the most modern
sound and audio equipment available today to ensure that you hear
the best quality music. But if, for any reason, you would like us
to reduce the volume levels, all you have to do is ask. Again,
you're paying the bill!
Will the
band learn a special song?
If you provide reasonable notice of the song
you would like, we will perform it for you on the night. If for
any reason we think that we cannot do justice to your song, we
will discuss this with you and arrange for it to be performed on
CD, but we will do our utmost to accommodate your special request.
How do we
make a booking?
To book Tumbling Dice, just call or email us
to check our availability and if your date is available we will
ask you for a deposit. You will then be issued with a booking
confirmation. After that we will be in contact with you over the
months prior to your event to finalise any special requests you
may have.
